Your initial evaluation takes place at Concentra.

If Dr. Thon recommends surgery, those orders are submitted to your workers' compensation insurance carrier for authorization. This typically takes 3–4 weeks, sometimes longer, and surgery can't be scheduled until authorization is received.

If medical clearance is required from your primary care physician or another specialist, or if specific health requirements apply (for example, an A1C below 8.0 for patients with diabetes), those must be completed in writing before surgery can be scheduled.

Once authorized, Dr. Thon performs your surgery.

All follow-up visits after surgery take place at The Orchard Clinic, on Fridays.

Throughout your care, Orchard Clinic and Dr. Thon communicate directly with Concentra and your workers' compensation adjuster, so your case stays coordinated from evaluation through recovery.
